  1. What did you order or the post deliver?

KTR 001 would be the correct numbering I believe. It's a (one off?) trainset belonging to the Kitakinki Tango Railway (Kyoto Tango Railway since 2015) and was used to run the "Tango Explorer" limited Express. In 2013 it was removed from regular services and is operated only for special (chartered?) services or as a substitute for other units on the "Tango Relay".
  2. How did you improve your rolling stock?

Ha! After reading Squid's posts I decided to try and oil the motor bearings and reseat everything on my E259 motor car which was also rattling/screeching unbearably, it runs almost like new again now :)
  3. Applying Decals to a Kato E231 - Any tips?

I've noticed too that on many trains the decals are printed a tad too large to fit perfectly. So far I always used a pair of tweezers, a small scissor and my fingers, which all in all gave mediocre results... I have to try the method with a cutter knife and those other tools the next time, your results look really good. Thanks for posting it :)
  4. I can't find any information about Kobo, but it seems they're sold through KatoUSA, so I'd suggest trying to contact them: http://www.katousa.com/Zcart/index.php?main_page=contact_us
  5. What did you order or the post deliver?

I don't think I've seen any, but I'm waiting for it too, I hope Kato or Tomix will do it. You could probably open a shipping company exclusively for this forum :P
  6. Tomix - New Releases

New Tomix PDF'S: Nagatetsu 1000 series Yukemuri and Senko Containers for N-Scale as well as an EH800, KoKi106 and Containers for H0-Scale: http://www.tomytec.co.jp/tomix/products/img/20180214-1.pdf http://www.tomytec.co.jp/tomix/products/img/20180214-2.pdf
  7. What did you order or the post deliver?

Oh, I thought that was a mistake in their system or something, as it still says Preorder, so I was a bit confused if you could actually order it now or not. Thanks for the tip :)
  8. What did you order or the post deliver?

Man, the Yakumo's really look great, I regret not preordering it....they were sold out within the day
  9. KATO E4 Series coupler part number

It should be this part I think http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10155169 Part Nr. Z04-4291
  10. Seconds? The first train on the bridge running left to right is a E257-0 series, the one running right to left afterwards is a JR West 221 series.
  11. Kato/Lemke ICE4

Yeah, Hobbytrain is a different company sold through Lemke, the Kato made European stuff that Lemke sells usually uses Kato Branding and Boxing. Further the construction and prpulsion system of the model is not like anything Kato made during that timeframe as far as I klnow, so I think the model was made by Hobbytrain themselves and just imported to Japan later on where it was then ditributed through Kato.
  12. Kato/Lemke ICE4

German made models sold in Japan are usually marked up quite a bit from what I've seen, even compared to their already expensive german price. I think Japanese made german models like the Kato BR 425 from 2011 or the upcoming ICE 4 are usually reasonably priced if they're sold in Japan
  13. Kato - New Releases

The 521 series in Ainokaze livery, didn't expect to see that made, it's a very nice one :) I hope they will make the Ishikawa version too.
  14. Interesting, I knew that JR West didn't like them due to their expensive maintenance, but why did passengers not like them?
  15. What did you order or the post deliver?

Is the book very heavy? I'd like to order one but I'm kinda scared of the possible shipping costs :D
